Chennault international Airport in Lake Charles
The airport was created in 1986 by the Louisiana Legislative Act 19, Chapter 12-B, Chennault International Airport has several tenants:
Aeroframe Services, provides air bus maintenance on aircraft; and hires avionic technicians, inspectors, estimators, engineers, and supervisors to oversee
MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) operations of each aircraft. Aeroframe is currently planning an expansion to hire an additional 200 workers. Many of
these workers would work and be trained in a new annex building that is to be built next to Hangar G (see photo). The new building is proposed to be financed
with funds from EDA with matching funds from the Chennault Airport, the City of Lake Charles, and Calcasieu Parish.
